I an making sure that I am not saving the original file but the bitmap trace. When using Inkscape to make SVG fonts, Im just curious if theres a way to make blank characters - characters that are just space. I don’t get it because I’ve successfully traced fonts and texts from logos and other words and they’ve come out great using carbide create but for whatever reason I can’t get this to show up at all - just blank. When I import into carbide create it is completely blank. I then import the svg into inskape and am able to successfully trace to bitmap and drag a new copy of the image and save the file to import into carbide create. And I think I have seen this problem quite often on Wikipedia Commons. my file browser Caja shows a black rectangle: I think I have seen that more often when there are text fields. Then use Edit>Resize Page to selection in the new document. When you create SVG files with Inkscape, it sometimes happens that you see black boxes when you view them with other programs. I would then just select all and copy / paste to a new document. At the bottom of the find options, uncheck all types and check clones - click Find. Inkscape can export the graphics to PDF/EPS/PS, and the text to a LATEX le.
